Located at an altitude of 1600 meters, the resort of Grimentz is part of the Val d’Anniviers ski area. With 220+ kilometers of marked trails and more than 44+ lifts, Grimentz is a paradise for ski enthusiasts in winter and bikers and hikers in the summer, from beginners to extreme free riders and downhill mountain bikers.

Moiry Dam

Grimentz – With its expanded range of activities (hiking, climbing, Via Ferrata to name but a few), its restaurants and striking appearance, the whole of the Moiry region has become a flagship destination in Val d’Anniviers.

The imposing Moiry Dam, 148 meters high, reigns supreme at the bottom of the Moiry Valley. When you take the 8km road that connects it to Grimentz, you are first amazed by the dimensions of the dam wall. But once you reach the top, you will discover a dazzling panorama and a varied range of activities and sights, including: a great restaurant, the glacier & the Cabane de Moiry.


Unusual, every summer since, the tourist office of Val d’Anniviers organizes open air projections at the foot of the dam.
